Popper is a project by Davide Panizza, and Walter Biondani.
This is a project based on a mix of electronic music, film music, sperimental lenguages, video documentary, performing arts with particular attention
given to the rapresentation of ourselves.
We try to use different way to describe our
conditions. In all our projects we try to smile about
different situations, using a "non sequitur"/demential
approach.
Using various tools we try to make fun of any aspect of life, headed for oblivion, and the moral destruction of ourselves.
Moved by a total distrust of anything we try to build a path of personal destruction and gradual social distancing, without actually acting in a particular direction, just humiliating ourselves.
P o P _ X performance
Our music combines pop tunes, techno and
live drums with amplified rudimentary percussion instruments.
From the visual point of view we propose a future tragicomic vision of life, performing semi-naked,
in a sort of primordial rite, or return to a disturbed childhood. We also use very fast strobo lights and a reflective helmet with built-in strobe.
The result is a disturbing but fun dramatic-demential-scene, guided by the melodies that recall the
sounds of ringtones mixed in a fast and steady beat.
